ELIA is collaborating with the local New Zealand team for organising at least 3 Dialogues before Rio+20 and forming the bigger team of people to continue beyond the conference itself. For those who are interested to join the team or feel called to contribute in any way, please contact Maja via mob: 021 023 72639.
ELIA is a soulful eco-business dedicated to the co-creation of an ecologically sustainable and wisdom-based world. Since February 2012 ELIA has taken on the responsibility of co-ordinating the GD in Mauritius and for initiating similar dialogues in the African region and New Zealand. Together with the Global Dialogues International team, ELIA created a 5 step process for facilitating the dialogues, which was inspired by TAP-The Actualisation Process ®.
Great progress has been already achieved in Mauritius. 5 dialogues have already taken place: 3 Dialogues for the general public, 1 for the students and teachers through BEC (Bureau of Catholic Education), and 1 for children age 10-16 years. There are at least 7 more dialogues coming up. The following partners have confirmed to host Dialogue through their networks: MIoD (Mauritius Institute of Directors), WIN (Women In Networking), and GML Foundation, and Eco-Raise. More Dialogues are in the making for specific groups / sectors: a Dialogue for NGOs representing Civil Society concerns for Environment, a Dialogues for Prisoners, and a Dialogue for poor communities in Mauritius. GD Mauritius is sponsored by Omnicane Group. Parts of the funds have been used for creating the online platform New Synergies.
